Andres Lopez , a young musician, producer and educator was born in St. Catherine Jamaica. He spent years understudying many of Jamaica’s finest musicians. This exposure has had a tremendous influence on his development both as a performer and a producer.

 

He continued to develop his musical skill and style at his Alma Mater Charlemont High School where at seventeen he became the school’s first band leader. The refining of his craft continued at Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts where he studied piano. While there he was a member of the jazz quartet ‘Wide Grin”. The quartet provided another avenue for him to further hone his skills by way of the many booked gigs they performed at.

 

After Edna Manley it was full steam ahead, he hit the international stage, performing with the likes of Chavelle Franklin, Sandra Brooks, Jah Mason, Etana, Fantan Mojah, Anthony B, Richie Spice and Mr. Perfect. He has also played for Big yute, Bush man, John Holt, Tony Rebel, Leroy Sibles, Johny Osbourne,Ikaya,Bugle,Althea Hewitt, Alaine, Chuck Fenda Max Romeo and Alborosie just to name a few. Andres also played live shows such as Jazz and Blues Festival and Rebel Salute and other stages with Gumption band ,C sharp and many others.

 

A musician who is constantly in demand for all types of local gigs he also tours extensively across Europe, South America and the Caribbean performing for all different audience.

In 2013 Andres released his first CD ‘Unbelievable’ which currently is number one on Reverb nation instrumental charts.

He taught at the Alpha institute as a music teacher\coach in which he led the band to victory in the Jamaica school band competition.

 

Andres also produced songs Just smile and Road to zion by his resident artiste Steph-Eyi. He has also co-produced some of the top riddims such as Rock weh, Get wet riddim, Cold Weather riddim,Outset riddim True word riddim with the likes of Christopher Martin Omari,pattexx and Trilla u. He also played on tracks for Khago,Anthony b,Alborosie. He recently played on 8 tracks from Beenie man's album Unstoppable.

On July 27 2017 Andres released his second CD ‘Electromerge’ which currently are available on all music outlets. It was produced, engineered and  mixed by Andres Lopez.

Andres have been producing music for films, short documentaries, Recording Artist, Commercials and also Jingles. Having over 15 years of experience in the music industry. He also created his very own music App  (I-PEZ PRODUCTION) which is available on google play store with all original music.He is  currently the keyboardist for The Wailers.
